Morjens, hakua käytetty, muttei löytynyt...
Eli, 2004 vuotinen Passatti tiptronicilla ollut 2 vkoa, ja kokeilin tuota käsivalintaa muttei tapahtunut mitään eli tuntuu siltä ettei vörki! Manuaalin mukaan kojetauluun pitäis ilmestyä 54321-kaavio kun kepin laittaa käsivalinnalle muttei mitään! Kokeiltu ajossa sekä paikallaan, ei toimi, muuten toimii hyvin.
Onko jokin paskana? Entäs mikä tämän laatikon koodi on? Kyseessä siis 2004 passat 1.8T tiptronic.
Tiptronic ei toimi?

First off - Hello!
I bought my first (and only for that matter) Passat on Oct. 31st
I know very little about the car, but after shopping for days looking for a stylish every day driver I was shown and bought my Passat in an hour. (probably paid too much). The quality in this used VW was amazing (especially after looking at Neons, Civics and Focus).
Anyway this is the technical forum.
My Passat has what should be a Tiptronic Automatic transmission and the manual says I should simply put it into drive, push the shifter to the right and watch in amazement as my gear indicator changes to 12345 and I have the ability to shift gears manually.
This does not happen. Nothing happens. Auto works fine, but no Tiptronic.
Any ideas?

Either your multifunction switch (MFS) is bad, or the magnets in the shifter assy are worn out.
If it's the MFS, that's about a $300 part, IIRC, not incl labor to install. Labor should be one hour or less. But usually, if the MFS is bad, your display will be funky in auto mode as well as Tip.
If it's the magnets, you have to buy a new shift plate for about $20. The shift plate is that corrugated black plastic thingie that fills in the shift slots. It has the itty-bitty magnets built into it.
I'm betting since you aren't reporting problems in Auto mode, that it's the magnets.

Ex-3BG:ssä vähän samamoinen vika, se oli normiautomaatti. Ei tunnistanu P eikä 1. Ajotietokone näytti aivan jotain muuta. Tuli purettua koko keskikonsoli vaihdekepin ympäriltä ja tutkittua niitä magneetteja mut ei ollu niis vikaa. Vaihdekepin asentotunnistinkin vaihdettiin mut ei ollu siinäkään.
Auto meni vaihtoon ja kuulin jälkeen päin että vaihdelaatikon johtosarja oli vaihdettu uuteen ja oli alkanu toimiin. Hinnaksi sanoivat 50€.
Kannattaa varmaan tutkia sitä nippua että onko johtoja nirhaantunu poikki.
Täälä on jossain topici siitä passatin ongelmasta mut en jaksa ettiä ny.

Sit on ollut hapettuneita liitoksia vaihteiston ohjainlaitteen liitinkammassa. Ohjainlaite löytyy muistaakseni apparin puolelta edestä lattiamaton alta. Niitä ajoaluetunnistimen "pykäliä" pystyy testerillä lukemaan, että toimiiko ne. Eli siis meneekö tieto vaihdekepiltä ohjainlaitteelle asti kun vaihdekeppiä siirrellään. Jos menee, niin vika voi olla laatikon ja ohjainlaitteen välisissä johdoissa. Jos ei mene, niin vika voi löytyä kepin juuresta, tai kepin/ohjainlaitteen välisistä johdoista.
