BELOW 60 MPH
Intermitting SLOWEST SETTING: 1 swipe every 17 seconds (approx.) >>>>>>> CHANGES TO: 24 second (approx.) interval when stopped
Intermitting 2nd LOWEST SETTING: 1 swipe every 12 seconds (approx.) >>>>>>CHANGES TO: 17 second (approx.) interval when stopped
Intermitting 3rd LOWEST SETTING: 1 swipe every 6 seconds (approx) >>>>>>>CHANGES TO: 9 second (approx.) interval when stopped
Intermitting FASTEST SETTING: 1 swipe every 3 seconds (approx.) >>>>>>> CHANGES TO: 4 second (approx.) interval when stopped
ABOVE 60 MPH
Intermitting Wipe Settings will speed up (reduce delay time by 1-2 seconds) over 60 MPH.
FOR EXAMPLE: BELOW 60 MPH = 1 swipe every 6 seconds (3rd setting above)>>>>>>>CHANGES TO: 1 swipe every 4-5 seconds OVER 60 MPH.
LOW SPEED VS. HIGH SPEED
LOW SPEED CONTINUOUS WIPING: Continuous wiping (about 1 time per second) while driving...BUT: will switch to 1 swipe every 5 seconds when you come to a complete stop after car was moving in this mode. Continuous wiping will re-engage back to 1 swipe/second when you start to drive off OR...if you reset the wiper-arm while parked.
HIGH SPEED CONTINUOUS WIPING: Fast speed wiping while driving....but will switch into LOW SPEED CONTINUOUS WIPING when you come to a stop. Fast speed wiping will re-engage when you start driving again or if you reset the wiper while parked.
If you are stopped and you move the wiper arm...you'll engage the proper wipe sequence INTERMITTING, LOW, HIGH...but when you start moving and THEN stop the car...the changes will occur (listed above).
...and let's not forget that every (I didn't count) so often the wiper moves up about a quarter of an inch or so when you stop the car so that the blade does not always rest on one side when stopped.
No one has mentioned this one, when going at slower speeds, an additional light illuminates after turning the steering wheel past 1/2 turn. I had to get out and find the extra bulb. On the side and to the rear of the amber light next to the headlight.
On the 3.6L Passat, place your transmission in Reverse, turn the side mirror remote joystick knob to "R" and the passenger side view mirror will tilt down giving you a view of the curb. Turn the joystick knob back to the center position to bring the side view mirror back to your normal postion.
Haven't tried this on a 2.0, but on the 3.6 with the AFS, if you have your brights on when you shut the car off, the brights go off & only the low beams remain on for the duration of the delay.
When the AUTO turns the lights on the next time, the brights will not be on, even if you left the turn signal lever in the brights position. Cycling through dipped and back to brights brings them back to life.
I notice this: the brake lights are usually the external red circles (i mean, the most external of the two concentric circles, does it make sense?), which also act like blinkers, but when the position lights are on, then it's the internal circle the one that act as brake lights.

On the 2.0T there is an large plastic engine cover that contains the airfilter (access airfilter from underneath). The cover has 4 large rubber O-rings mounted on the underside, those O-rings slide over 4 phallic shapped steel pins mounted on the engine. To get the cover off, spray silicone oil into the center of the 2 front O-rings "just" visable under the front left and right sides of the cover and the lubricant will drain down to the phallic shapped steel pins. This will lubricate the outer large perimeter of the pin's "heads" so they eaily slide through the rubber O-rings which fit tightly. Then you can just pop up the front of the engine cover up and then you can see the 2 rear mounts, spray them and cover comes off easily. Really well engineered, and any guess what was on the engineer's mind
If you have the front wipers on while driving a wagon, and engage reverse, the rear wiper will engage to clear the rear window for you...even if the rear wiper was off.
Also, the rear grocery hooks on the wagon, which are mounted on each side of the cargo area, have 3 positions...normal they are flush with the sides, top flipped out for hanging grocery bags, or bottom flipped out as an extra tie-down loop (to accompany the floor-mounted tie downs).
Lights: Those with the adaptive bixenons will see their headlights perform an elaborate 'dance' - up, down, outside, inside) whenever you start the car, as the headlights balance and level. Extra power outlet in the trunk/cargo area for wagons and sedan, and in the rear center console for sedans also.
If you have the Premium radio headunit, you can access the "secret" diagnostic display by following this procedure:
1. Push and hold down tuner knob

3. Radio dings again and goes back to normal display, keep holding
4. Radio dings yet again and goes into diagnostic mode
Once in that mode, you can see the signal strength of the radio station you're listening to as well as some other data I haven't bothered to decipher. To return to the normal display, just press the tune button briefly.
Lights: To prevent draining the battery, if you leave a door open for a certain amount of time, the interior lights (and display lights) will shut off.
Lights: Also, If you have the map lights manually on, when you arm the alarm, the lights shut off automatically.
Lights: I noticed also if you leave your lights on, they will dim after 10 mins (the amber ones in the headlights, I have bi-xenon)
For the wagon, the safety triangle storage is on the hatch itself. Undo the 2 knobs. Of course, you need to buy a set to put in there.

You can adjust the alarm that sounds when you lock the car, via the MDF Setting's Menu:

NOTE: To get to the MDF Setting's Menu to change the alarm and other factory settings: hold the MDF toggle switch in the down position for 5 secconds with key in but car not running, and the Settings Menu appears on the MDF display.

While still holding the wrench button turn on the ignition all the way, but do not start. Release the wrench button and press and hold the minutes (min) for a few seconds.
